I Hate Politics.

Passionately. Last year’s election was the second time I was eligible to vote. Never bothered for obvious reasons.

Activism on the other hand? I don’t mind if it’s for the right and ethical reasons. The current regime is out to grow roots as deep as it can into the country’s political and economic fabric. Not surprising - that’s the nature of the game. But it’s also evidently out to plunder, following a known blueprint from what, almost 5 decades ago?

I’m not deluded, Raila is no saint. Neither is he being the least benevolent in doing what he’s doing. But frankly and realistically, who else can stand up to the current government, for whatever reasons, and have them pay audience? No one else at the present.

My forefathers took to the forest against the Tommies. Lives and resources got lost, but I bet that played a part in Tommies leaving sooner than they’d wished. Everything comes at a price. I’m not for violence but “we gotta destroy before we elevate”, as the great black American philosopher William Roberts II once said. And I of course don’t mean hurling stones and disrupting business like some known members of the mechanized infantry.

I wish there was better coordination to these demos - I wouldn’t mind sparing an hour or two to stretch my legs and have my grievances heard. You actually don’t even need to take to the streets every other day. Hacktivism is a tool, for those who can.

KK’s up to no good. Raila’s leadership is wanting, but it’s all we have.

my grandfather was betrayed by his own kin when he for against the whiteman and poor leadership, my father told me run your race leave activism and politics to people who haven’t had their eyes opened…

I understand his disillusionment, but being passive never made a bad situation better, quite the contrary.

This is highly subjective, but we can’t all sit back and watch. Some end up paying the ultimate price, sooner or later. But that’s just nature, no offence.

Kusema tuu ukweli sijasoma ni nini unasema the moment I saw Muse I felt good remembering the days I used to sing along this song. I feel good bana. Now let me play it on repeat mode. meanwhile, here are other good tracks from the band
