I have suddenly regained my sense of smell

I had severe constipation last month and was given some meds called Skilax… that made me diarrhea… Immediately afterwards, i realized that my sense of smell which used to be excellent is back… After 20 years… And have been ok for more than three weeks now. How is that possible?
