I am a photography enthusiast, I like to tell and hear stories from the picture view.
I started a website sharekenya.com a photo and video sharing platform and it has really impressive photo stories to tell but now
I’m thinking about earning some money from it.
I have received some offers from people interested to buy the website but am reluctant to sell, the highest offer was at 90k
My question is how do i make money from it?
If I’m to sell how much do you think it can cost?

The irony here is endless… So you started a website, developed it until it is now impressive… And have never known any way to monetize… Most of us don’t own website, but you still think we could know the pricing of your site better than you do…
I guess your website is worth as much as the highest offer you got for it.
You could counter the offer with what you think it’s worth.
If it’s not unique and can be replicated easily its only worth the hosting subscription paid.
Its uphill work but you seem serious. Just get more traffic and ads will make you money.

Your site is worthless.
You don’t own the content. Actually to put it bluntly, you steal the content.
You don’t have traffic. Alexa does not even rank you, meaning you barely get 10 visits a day.
For such an old site, you have failed to grow.
If I was interested in buying anything, I’ll be looking for one of two things. Either you have a brand or a product.
You have neither.
The site itself is just a cheap theme you bought somewhere.
Whoever gave you 90k is obviously not the sharpest tool. But your mistake was refusing to take it. Because you’ll never get anything remotely close to that.

a website you first have good content, next work for the traffic(hapa ndio kuna kazi ) advertise on other plartforms like Twitter, Facebook, IG. Talk to other kenyan blogs/website like Mpasho, ghafla, Nairobiwire etc to write some article about you, tell your friend to promote you. Once traffic imekuwa sawa, you will be able to get guys to advertise on it, takes time just don’t give up

Do not sell it. Sites like ishutterstock pay for people’s photos, videos. And we’ve never had such a platform in Kenya. You could offer to photograph places, sites and if you have the traffic, the owners of those sites will pay you to advertise them and then eventually you can start offering a small pay for photos of places by the general public.
