basically in kenya debt recovery is a joke suing and courts will take forever learn your lesson and move foward
I would advise you cut your losses and move on, any efforts to get back your money will be long tedious and maybe eventually futile.
Count it as lesson learned. You will cause yourself more heartache, pain & misery by following a lost cause. The only way to get your money back is if he truly wants to pay up. You have your legal options , he has his. Also if he has this habit of conning/not paying up( as most such guys) He knew he wasn’t going to pay & he has experience of being taken to court, debt collectors etc, he knows what moves you will make and how he will counter them.
Been there , done that. These days am careful in my business I still get such, I simply move on I find ways of becoming more strict tightening loose end in my contracts.
