so someone spilled some drink on my phone the other day (the liquid permeated in to the phone through the speaker/earpiece) and the phone started misbehaving and subsequently the screen went off, the phone seemed to function well except the screen which wasn’t functioning/lighting up.
i want to repair the phone but i dont know a good fundi who can fix the phone…
ok if the ic needs replacing ya maanisha nita nunua the entire motherboard or screen ama ita niku buy a new ic tu? am a bit naive in that electronics sector
Sun won’t help. Water will just evaporate and settle elsewhere in the phone may get to other parts to cause corrision. An anhydrous material will suck out the water.

Hapo naona kama board eventually ili’die. If at all you like taking challenges, just pull out your precision screw drivers and disassemble the phone, then use home drycleaner to clean the main board and such connections. But don’t let the solution touch the screen or the outside of the casing, then assemble it back and test. But ukweli ni, hio haiko…
