I serious need help

hey guys! I have been seeing this girl for half an year or so however we havent ever get tested and we always play safe. All has been well until two days ago when she told me she has been suffering from rheumatic fever and she has been taking injection and that she will continue getting them. of course i encouraged her but i am now very worried if she has infected. what is more worrying is that for over a month i have been having this small pain around my neck(oesophagus). To health practitioners here can i have been infected before and as an advice should i desist from this relationship?

the best option is for you guys is to go and get tested together

Boooom! another one down.

she had the fever before we met, she is on drugs i am just concerned about my health and i cant ask her if she has infected me since she would be so heartbroken

what do you mean?

:D:D:D calm your horses. first of all rheumatic heart disease is not an STI. Its a possible complication of strep throat or other strep infection. Normally the body synthesizes antibodies against the bacteria but due to similarity between antigens of the bacteria and that of the heart, the antibodies end up attacking the heart.
In summary, if she’s being treated, you have nothing to worry about. Just buy over the counter strepsils for your case.

Dude I hope you do remember the fact that you left your mother womb alone… and you also acknowledge the fact that you will die all alone right?? And what is isht about “she will be offended if you ask her” Boy child,at least show some honour to your mum’s 9 month misery and 1 day of painful labour. That’s all the rest of universe ask from you in this trying times.

Rheumatic fever is not contagious. Now the bacteria (Streptococcus) which causes it, is highly contagious. Rheumatic fever is actually an autoimmune disease where some carbohydrates on the Strep bacteria look like proteins on heart valves. So the body confuses the two and starts attacking itself (molecular mimicry).

And if babies get it they sometimes end up with heart problems.

Your osungu needs help.

No cause for alarm. Pain in your neck could be due to many factors some of them as simple as how you sleep and the pillow you use. Acha wasiwasi.
