If there is no absolute right or wrong, true or false?

If relativism is in everything including morality why do we have prisons bearing in mind that there is no absolute wrong or right? Maybe prisons are also built on the same principle of no absolutes? So whether you are jailed or not for the good/wrong you did everything is ok. Now why did we send the military to Somalia or D2 recently if what the terrorists were doing was not necessarily good or bad?

you are just funny

In the truest sense of things, nothing really is anything. There is nothing right nor wrong. Things are just “are”. But social constructs come up with right/wrongs to govern our conduct in a bid to avoid self destruction as an individual then society/tribe as a whole. If killing wasn’t inhibited, our population could be diminished, because people would be killing each other for trivial reasons. Otherwise, killing someone is neither right/wrong but is just killing. Judgement of the action, is what will make it wrong. But the action is just an action. Judgement is what classifies it as wrong. So if you remove or there was no judgement, killing would be just killing. So, morality is a construct. It doesn’t exist.

Thanks man…

As you’ve pointed out, relative morality is a ridiculous concept. If moral statements were grounded purely on individual whims and taste, then Hitler is as morally acceptable as Gandhi.

Which begs the question, can objective morality exist in the absence of a transcendent reference point?

If you study the Hegelian dialectic you will discover a symbiotic relationship between good and evil. Each need the other for identity and they both exist to polish existence into higher planes/dimentions.

right and wrong is subjective to what you think is right or wrong depending on where and how you were raised …there’s no universal boundary between right and wrong

A pendulum swing variation degrees are based on the momentum applied. According to Paul, it is the law that make us know what is sin. Without law there is no transgression. So the answer: There is no objective morality without a reference point. That is the principle of polarity.

This may be the reason for those fighting the existence of any deity who in any society has been seen as the moral law giver. For as far as I am concerned if God doesn’t exist I can assure you there will be anarchy in fact I won’t forgive anyone who wrongs me. Sorry nothing will be wrong anyway. There will be a lot of disorder. They hate God for all ways making everyone take responsibility of their actions. They have killed God, but they still talk about His “death” Daily. Maybe they just wish Him dead but He can’t Die.

I created man from invisible (spiritual) and from visible (physical) nature, of both are his death and life and image, he knows speech like some created thing, small in greatness and again great in smallness, and I placed him on earth, a second angel, honourable, great and glorious, and I appointed him as ruler to rule on earth and to have my wisdom, and there was none like him of earth of all my existing creatures.

And I appointed him a name, from the four component parts, from east, from west, from south, from north, and I appointed for him four special stars, and I called his name Adam, and showed him the two ways, the light and the darkness, and I told him:
This is good, and that bad, that I should learn whether he has love towards me, or hatred, that it be clear which in his race love me.
For I have seen his nature, but he has not seen his own nature, therefore through not seeing he will sin worse, and I said After sin, what is there but death?
