A middle-aged woman from Nairobi on Tuesday afternoon gave birth to a baby boy while aboard a taxi.
The woman, who works at a microfinance company in Nairobi CBD, hailed a taxi via mobile phone after she went into labor while in the office.
Her destination, was the Nairobi West Hospital. However, she hadn’t gone far before her pains increased.
Before taking a turn near Nation Centre on Kimathi Street, she got into the pushing stage, forcing the driver to pull aside and allow the woman to deliver.
Women, who were passing by, stopped over and used their lesos to throw a cordon around the vehicle as the woman was assisted to give birth by doctors operating at the Nation
