Just realised am sinking deep in debt. Basically I am getting money, paying off debts and taking other loans to stay afloat. I am a student though so no major debts but ferk I have pulled myself in some real shit. Thinking of a strategy out. Saidieni wazito.Let’s learn from each other.
If you are in a public university get yourself a kibarua in the meantime, I don’t see you graduating soon to start servicing real debts.
Although wasted a considerable time luckily the past lectures strike didn’t affect me. On the kibarua thing it’s also an option that am exploring.
What are you taking the debts for?
At the beginning of the month would mostly spend it on outings, entertainment, upuzi etc. When I realise am running low on cash I take loans to sustain my daily expenses. I know it’s very foolish.
Then stop spending money on outings and entertainment. Find free places you can go to and still have fun. You will be surprised how fast your money problems go away.
Pay them one by one, and lower your kirathi don’t buy things out of your actual reach

Mshwari, KCB mpesa, TALA etc all lend me a decent amount of money. I guess it’s because I have frequent Mpesa transactions.

It is now or never, pay off your debts or you are forever gonna be in debt.
I never had a debt until I reached 27 and that too was a loan to process some work related stuff, paid it off immediately I could and stayed debt free.

Yep couldn’t take the offer as there was no way I could do the program through distance learning. I also couldn’t get a credit transfer to a Tz uni as the job was in a very remote place. Chose to finish my degree first as am only left with like 3 semesters. They promised me a slightly better offer if I get my degree in DareSalam.

Just understand that when you borrow and not pay on time you will land into problems. Soon or later the lenders will not take your request. Try as it is humanly possible to reduce unnecessary expenditure. For instance, I SMSed a friend who owes me, but hajajibu 6 hrs later. Mimi nilimtumia pesa after 30 mins of asking and was just expecting a simple msg like “Sina sahii”. Next time no help from me.
Anyway, mek sure you pay back any time you borrow.
