I’m looking for Kenyan Folklore that speaks about ancient astronomy.

Any forumers knowledgeable in this subject?

Bachwezi are actually the 13 century in invasion of the Tutsi in the area.

The Bachwezi, disappeared just like that. It was said they left for the stars.

I’ve heard the strory of them disappearing. Lakini mbegu zilibaki ndio akina Kagame tu.

There are said to have been divine. Then comes in Mugo wa Kibiru, He just appeared from no where, never was he attacked by animals, and he kept disappearing from time to time , to be with Ngai.

Our forefathers were always wowed by the wonders of galactic bodies. They had a lot of theories on the topic. One interesting fact is that the kyuks had a name for Venus: “Njata ya Kiwarie”.
