Indwelling, Baptism and the Infilling of the Holy Spirit

What is the difference or similarities of the above terminologies, Biblically?

Indwelling is the Baptism of the Holy Spirit.

John 14:15-17
15 “If you love me, keep my commands.(V) 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate(W) to help you and be with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth.(X) The world cannot accept him,(Y) because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be[c] in you.

So the Disciples had the H.S (he lived with them) but would have him live in them come pentecost (when they would be baptized of the H.S)

Before Christ, the H.S indwelt no one, but they had the H.S.

The indwelling only came after Jesus was glorified.

John 7:38-39
38 Whoever believes in me, (D)as[a] the Scripture has said, (E)‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of (F)living water.’” 39 Now (G)this he said about the Spirit, (H)whom those who believed in him were to receive, Bfor as yet the Spirit had not been (J)given, (K)because Jesus was not yet glorified

Infilling can mean the baptism or empowerment of the H.S.

Here is where it gets confusing, a little.

Infilling, or being filled with the H.S means being empowered by the H.S.

In Exodus 31:1 Bezalel is filled with the H.S to be able to create all manner of craftsmanship.

During the Baptism of the H.S, you receive both indwelling and infilling.

The indwelling is the reception of the person of the H.S and is made manifest by the birthing of Fruits of the H.S

The infilling is made manifest by the gifts of the H.S

That’s why Christ says, You shall receive power when the H.S comes upon you:)

So the infilling may be used to refer to the baptism because you are filled with power when you are baptised of the H.S, but they are not the same thing.

That’s why even O.T guys were filled with the H.S but none ever had the indwelling because that is only accessible via the glorification of Christ (per John 7:38-39)

I did my best:)

Baptism of the holyspirit is the recreation of your spirit by the holyspirit(born again), what happens in this process is that your spirit and the holyspirit come on union and you receive the attributes of the spirit , ie eternal life , wisdom. Baptism of the holyspirit happens immediately you confess Jesus as your lord and savior. Then there is infilling of the holyspirit, this happens to when you ask God to fill you with the holyspirit, there is evidence of speaking in tongues.

Actually, Baptism of the HS is the indwelling and is evidenced by tongues.

Of Pentecost, Christ says, John indeed baptized you with water but a few days from now you will be baptized of the HS

This is John 1:5
5 For John baptized with[a] water,(A) but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.”(B)

So at Pentecost, the disciples were baptized with the HS and they spoke in tongues.

Infilling and indwelling are not used in the bible so the semantics can change, but Baptism of the HS is the Pentecost
