international stock/shares

let’s I wanted to buy Apple stock, or shares in a bank in Namibia, how would I buy it?

You have to look for an online brokerage that allows you to purchase stocks in the respective country.
Various stock exchanges differ and in some retail foreign investors are not even allowed

Buying may not be the problem. Owning it will be the issue. Apple is traded in the NASDAQ. The problem may be you need to be residing in the US to trade on the NASDAQ.
But various spread betting outfits in Europe may let you trade Apple stock. Problem is you can’t hold it. As in you are a trader, not investor.

wtf! do all countries have such “rules”? ata UK siwezi own?

If you think advanced countries will let an ordinary third world citizen with nothing to offer in return ‘own’ stuff in their borders , there is still so much you still don’t know about how this world and generally business works. Also, if you can’t save money for xx years, stay out of stocks, or tears and confusion will be your lot, …but if you understand and invest in stocks well, you can become very rich, but is wealth everything, it depends on who you ask. Me, I don’t mind wealth, fame and politics is what I fear more than anything, but if you burden me with them I can still manage. Hope I’ve been helpful. Keep researching

yeah, there is a lot of misinformation on this thread, just go and ask your bank they will tell you how to go about it especially if you use an international bank not the local ones like Equity… that is the safest option for you
