AbleWireless
Where are we?
Able Wireless, our network as a community was built with the sole intention of connecting those previously “unconnected”; the forgotten ones. For many, this was your very first Internet connection, the first that you could use without the constraints of time or consumption. For many, this was an opportunity to reach out to the rest of the world without limitation, to explore new opportunities and options in life, and to colour your minds with knowledge based on unbiased contexts. The very first thousand users during the “Public Testing” phase taught us that there was indeed a need for connectivity among lower and middle income families who were previously forgotten and spurred us to deliver faster than any other provider had to this day, delivering over 50km of live copper and fibre in just 6 weeks. Our network has given over 3,000 homes the ability to connect to a 1Gbps Fiber-To-The-Home network through our very own BlackBIRD Content Deliver Network without limitation.
As a community, we have endured plenty, from loss of power which left us nearly paralysed for two days to sabotage to the core and outer network, and through it all, we have stood together, endured and overcome. Tomorrow, we embark on an endeavour to right what many claim isn’t wrong, but in reality is beyond wrong. Our promise to you is your Right to claim, and as we struggle with our Contractual Dispute, remember that it is this very Right, your Right, that we are fighting for. Our competitors, and those behind our current dispute hope that our loss will lead to the demise of our network, this community network, owned 100% by us, the community, but we intend to fight to the very bitter end. The reality is simple, we live in a world where many advanced technologies lie far ahead, yet we stand behind, enveloped by doctrine generated by people who have no knowledge of our reality and will do anything to profiteer while masking inability behind cost, thus creating the real rift that determines our economic status.
We are very grateful for each and everyone that has stood with us to this very day, your unwavering support has been the breathe that has kept us going, and we promise to continue delivering as soon as we can. For those that have any doubt, we urge you to stand with us, as the rest of the community has, and we shall succeed. We have done it before and we shall do it again. With our network, we will bring people’s ambitions out, that they may have an equal opportunity in the connected community, so that we change from being consumers to being innovators. Our children will go from reading about concepts to creating hypotheses based on real world realities, based on the scope of possibility that the Internet delivers. We have little doubt that the truth shall prevail, and we shall resume again what we started.
We have no intention of hiking the price and everything will remain the same.
This, our promise, is your Right.
Thank you.
