Internet Plans in Kikuyu

Hi!

So I will be staying in Kenya in the town of Kikuyu for three months. I have been here for a week so far and my internet is not so great on my phone. I will be staying in an apartment during this time so wanted to know about the possibility of purchasing a home bundled internet plan? What would you all suggest? I am a non-Kenyan native FYI. Thanks!

Thanks! I was reading about Telkom and they mentioned only having 4G data plans in select areas. I didn't see Kikuyu listed. Do you know if there is another provider I should look into?

You could try Airtel,check if there are local dealers for both networks. I use Telkom near Kikuyu and get good speeds

Zuku or faiba are always worth checking. Safaricom internet is good but baba told us to keep off, so its not the best option. Also check out airtel they are cheap and fast

Thanks everyone! I will look into these options. I am not too familiar with the area but I will ask around on where I can find an Airtel shop that would also sell the setup equipment I would need (modem, etc.)

I would advice you to try out the services of the three providers. Sometimes the location of the apartment results in poor reception even when the general area is well covered.

That's a great point! I will look into trying out the smaller data packages before investing in a monthly bundle to see how well my reception is.

In Africa, we have poor internet. Wouldn't it have been easier for you to bring your own internet from wherever you came from?

What factors are you considering... Speed, cost? You say you already have fast Internet
