All revolutions that are succeful are ideology driven n they are popular as most can associate with its ideals…when I look around I dont see any ideas…show me some if u do!? This issue which has been contended by Interior CS Joseph Nkaissery could be far from the truth since Kenyans are as peace loving as sheep.
THE opposition is using the ongoing protests against the IEBC to trigger a revolution similar to the Arab Spring, Interior CS Joseph Nkaissery has said.
Speaking in Brussels on Thursday in an interview with the Star, Nkaissery claimed that the protests by the Raila Odinga-led opposition coalition were “bigger” than the removal of the IEBC commissioners.
“We want peaceful elections but Cord has continued to incite the citizens and intimidate the government by throwing stones. This is a revolution in the making: As minister for Interior, I will never allow it,” Nkaissery said.
He added that the plan is similar to the revolutions that have seen governments toppled in Tunisia, Egypt and Libya and civil wars in several other North African nations from 2010.
“People think Kenya is a very weak country and you can repeat what happened in Libya and Egypt here. That is the thinking of these fellows of Cord. It is high time that Kenyans are told that this is a revolution in the making and the government will not allow it," Nkaissery said. …etc.

Kenya is too much tribally divided for anything like that to happen. The only thing that can come close is a Luo uprising and those don’t even require the GSU to quash. Hawa Ap’s hugraduate after only six months hapa Embakasi wametosha.
Let us not forget that JaKuon’s ODM was fashioned after the Ukrainian “Orange Revolution”, which preceded the Arab Spring but had similar ingredients: foreign agitators and sponsors who fomented a crisis and then pushed forward what they thought was a malleable puppet to take the reins. It floundered and The Ukraine is arguably Europe’s sick child.
JaKuon failed in 2007 despite massive ‘sponsorship’ that introduced helicopter-based campaigns, slick websites and billboards, and PR consultants shaping opinion. In 2013, most of the sponsors stayed away, disillusioned and unwilling to gamble again. The message that Raila relied upon was the ICC cases and the familiar ethnic polarization. It backfired.
Nkaissery should stop fretting just because JaKuon is at it again. Kenyans have refused to joing JaKuon’s revolution because it would bring the suffering and chaos of 2008. It’s like wet wood that just wont ignite.
CORD plan is similar to the kiev maidan which overthrew the ukranian govt, opposition made demands which the govt at the time agreed to, the opposition then made made their real demand which was to take power. kiev maidan was succesful because the capital kiev is in western ukraine which was an opposition stronghold, Nairobi on the other hand has bot supporters but if need be supporters can be ferried from thika and kiambu
