I am planning to buy a car. Lafesta comes to mind. I like the spacious interior. Any pitfalls i should know of?

Hizo shida no sturdiness. Kwangu no mashinani, barabara ni rough, alafu bado mi ni peasant, plus kuna moja iko well maintained. Nauliza tu kama kuna unique, obvious problems na hiyo gari.
Nissan anything ain’t worth shit. Find a good used Alphard. Caveat; engines start at 2.4L & go all the way to 3.5L. They never break down, are very fast & with clever suspension lift, even make the two-or-so annual trips to the Mara - but that requires the 4wd variant (yes, it exists).
For your kind of terrain just get a Toyota plus they can take abuse and are reliable more than nissans…look for a well maintained fielder,probox and the likes…
Cons:
They’ll be a abit expensive than a Lafesta.
You’ll become a target for car jackers & spare thefts.
Don’t think his budget would allow per what he’s shopping for even a well maintained Noah/Voxy should be good for him much cheaper but it’s true an Alphard is a good van.

Yes…also go on Facebook there are various pages of car owner communities that also put cars on sale you might get something in good condition but be careful on those streets…do your due diligence before transacting and try however you can to avoid brokers.

Before buying a ford, zile advise nilipewa, wacha tu. sasa one year down the road, i hit Embu to busia, bimonthly, come back with a mzigo and the thing is still as good as i bought it. Havent changed anything on it…perhaps brake pads

Worst decision my dad told me he ever did when purchasing a car was getting a Nissan Bluebird Sylphy 1.5cc even though he was lucky to get to import a shockingly very low mileage one for cheap & no it wasn’t altered mileage…he wished he swapped it for the NZE 4WD Assista my mom had.

Most cars now, nissans, mazda, honda, toyota use technology similar kiasi. If you maintain it they all last
