Agnosticism is the believe that maybe God exists or does not exist but I do not know. To those who knows what chance is I think this a good point to exercise that.
Now if there’s no God once we die all will be gone and we won’t be able to even regret about our choices as there is no any possibility of life other than this life, as a result whether you believed in God or not you will neither gain nor lose anything after death
If God exists even if he has hidden himself ignoring him will be fatal when you die and realise He actually exists and will punish you anyway. So I think believing that God is there and should be obeyed is better than not believing since you increase your chances of survival just incase you meet Him when you die.

Man invented god(s). The way things work I suspect there are many gods and some are quite mischievous, I mean, which god in his right mind would create a duck-billed platypus?

Religion, spirits and gods are just created and made up by man. Of course, there is a superior creator who created everything on earth, but i am sure its not the same guy who says that he will only protect the children of israel, and not anyone else. The biblical god is an angry good who is quick to extend his vengeance, a good who is so poor that he demands 10% of your income yet he owns the whole universe.
According to science, the earth is about 50 million years old. Humans started writing history less than 5000 years ago. All i know is that once you die, you are gone and forgotten. Its my opinion though.

I have some reservations when it comes to science and any body of knowledge and for instance Karl popper a philosopher of science says as a scientist yearn to falsify theories than proof them. What if radioactive dating is having some errors. We know of many scientific principles that were held to be true for along time and later on were disapproved and replacemed. Finally just like any field of knowledge science is still struggling to answer some questions. Basically science cannot provide answers to everything it’s just limited. And speaking of tithes the Bible does not say God wants you tithes in heaven the tithe was meant to run the church,the welfare of the priests who anyway are working in teaching and preaching and to help the needy.

There are many gods to believe in. People choose - you can use the sky gods of Christianity and islam, the many gods of Hinduism, the African gods of mountains, rivers and forests, the Egyptian sun god, the roman planet gods. Personally I go with the mountain god of Kirinyaga.

You are born then die, buried, decompose for you to feed plants and other micro/macro organisms, the other part of you is buried more by soil and debris compressed further to form rocks which will be mined for other purposes if lucky then one day hundreds of millions of years to come our sun dies forming a super Nova destroying our lovely home and blowing it to dust into the vast space to form new planets, asteroids,moons to be inhabited, exploited and explored by others.
