I like the era which European countries liked to flex about their military prowess to each other but one thing i couldn't help but wonder was the level of large scale incompetence from the Italian Military during world 2.
A whole mussolini couldn't restore Italian power back to the days of the Roman empire, the battle of Normandy and Africa core was sheer embarrassment to theFührer, he was forced to send reinforcement to help.
This also explain why Ethiopians with old school and less weapons successfully defeated the Italian. Hitler chose the wrong ally except for the Japanese who conquered three quarters of American sea territory in just five months.

Italians have been the jokehouse of western Europe ever since the collapse of the Roman empire. But don't think that the Roman empire was just located in Italy. It was a vast kingdom encompassing a large part of Europe, middle East and North Africa.

This statement is not correct. The Ethiopians had very modern weapons during the battle of Adowa under Menelik 2 back in 1896.

When Mussolini wanted revenge in 1935 he managed to conquer Ethiopia for 2 years (i think) until world war 2 broke out and the british drove the Italians away from Ethiopia.
