am trying to sell a product hapa jiji but i can smell scammers from a mile away contacting me. They ask whether i am willing to do transaction via bank and hataki kuona mali yenye ananunua hata. hii scam ya bank transaction ni gani ?
Jiji is former olx…over 60% of people there are scammer.
First, most sellers are scammers as well. When you call to inquire about an item priced -say 5k,- they will tell you it was a typing error and that it goes for about double the price. Most will keep calling you incessantly after you make the inquiry, just to prod you to pay. Scammers all over.
In addition they advertise stuff whose specs they don’t actually have; just lift pictures of most items off the web. And how is it that almost all items are “promoted” or “vip”? Yaani, the only guys selling on that platform are business outlets…hakuna individual sales? What other platform can one try?

Not all are scammers…if you are a seller insist on cash terms only no cheques. Scammers usually use bankers cheque which bounce.
How do you rate cheki? I am thinking of buying a second hand Toyota car there

Cheki imejaa magari zimelala kwa yards juu ya kukosa wateja juu ya brokers. Enda tu jiji and look for them there,variety ni mob sana, kwanza toyotas. Just be wary of unrealistic low prices, ama jamaa atakuambia harakisha gari iko na demand sana. Legit toyotas dont last 2 weeks once advertised on Jiji.
