Joan rivers dead

American comedian Joan Rivers has
died in a New York hospital, her
daughter Melissa Rivers has
confirmed. She was 81.
Last week, Rivers was hospitalised
after she stopped breathing and
suffered a cardiac arrest in New
York during a procedure on her
vocal cords. She was later placed on
life support at Mount Sinai Hospital
in Manhattan.
Melissa said her mother died
surrounded by her family and close
friends.
“My mother’s greatest joy in life
was to make people laugh. Although
that is difficult to do right now, I
know her final wish would be that
we return to laughing soon,”
Melissa Rivers added.
Rivers was famed for her acerbic
routines, which she opened with
her trademark line: “Can we talk?
In her decades-long career, her
acid-tongue never mellowed. She
moved from longtime targets such
as Elizabeth Taylor, whom she
famously ridiculed as fat, to new
faces, and continued to appear inv
clubs and on TV into her 80s.
Most recently was host of E!'s
Fashion Police, commenting on the
unfortunate red carpet style choices
of Hollywood celebrities.

Alikuwa mtu wa matusi, she once said she has no sympathy for the plight of the Palestinians in Gaza, declaring they ‘deserve to be dead’. The 81-year-old comedian launched a furious rant outside a Los Angeles airport, saying that the Palestinians who do not leave their homes are ‘idiots’ and that ‘at least the ones that were killed were the ones with very low IQs’.
