Towns in the coastal counties of Mombasa, Kilifi, Kwale and Taita Taveta will benefit from the Sh10.7bn World Bank-funded water projects, which will leverage on pertinent infrastructure to promote access to clean and safe drinking water. The programmes will strengthen interventions in improved sanitation facilities, proper hygiene and ensure efficiency in water distribution and consumption. The county governments will identify, procure, prioritise and implement these projects while adhering to transparency and accountability for the funds.
