Jubilee Development - KU owned Kshs 11 billion Hospital gets Ministry of Health leased medical equipments

Built by Kenyatta University and equipped by Ministry of Health under the leased medical equipment program. This was necessary after the hospital remained nonoperational a year after completion of physical structures.

This is Kenyatta University Referral Hospital, Built at a cost of KSH 11 Billion, project commenced in 2014 and was completed in 2018. The hospital will ease pressure on @KNH_hospital and enhance capacity building of health workers in the region #Big4Agenda #KenyaMbele https://t.co/lSweeQavNg

The title though! Ni kama umeshikwa na stroke ukitype.

Looks well equipped, when will it be opened

Why does it take a Whole year!!! Anyway nice tiles - hapa naona Ma - Upskirts will be the norm:D

The hospital also gets this new modern cancer treatment machine from India. Those with NHIF cover wouldn’t need to travel abroad to get treatment from the same machine.

Once all machines are installed then it will be up to KU administration to announce opening date. What remains now is Kshs 1 billion working capital for the hospital for operations. They will need constant cash flow to allow for purchase of consumables.

The interior and exterior are completely opposite. We need to review our architectural standards. Any ignorant person would be forgiven to think that this was another block of flats in the neighbourhood.

Looks great. Atirist hapa wamejaribu juu it was very recently watu waliteta loudest alafu wameshafurnish.

Alafu, ile deni ya 1.4B ya mchina, prohibiting the openning of the hospital, inakaa H. Kosgey amecome through???

Yes it was a major oversight by Kenyatta University. That’s why Treasury and Ministry of Health stepped in to help and complete it as directed by Parliament.

Nothing good will come from Kenyatta University… That hospital will be 90% Kikuyu dominant. Tuambiane ukweli

Ile pesa Mrs. Mugenda alikula as kickbacks from the Chinese who were building this hospital imepita 1 billion. MoH is hesitant to be involved because it is only a matter of time before things start going haywire with repayment of loans and management of the hospital (HR, supplies, drugs). MoE have no experience running a hospital - it is not their mandate anyway - and also do not want to be involved in the repayment of the expensive loans. This is a Chinese project meant to make money for China and connected people - the signage in Chinese language at the gate says it all.

But, let’s see what happens…

Whats wrong with that, its in okuyu land.

Ministry of Health has been running KNH, MTRH, CGH amongst others since independence. All those referral hospitals are directly run by ministry through the board and management picked by ministry. Counties only run level 5 hospitals, not level 6 referral hospitals.

@spear, kubali tuu kwamba this experiment failed.
