Hehehe some of the doctors here were also hating on them so i cant be surprised if they require such security

If they do their job well, then all will be fine. Local nurses and doctors do not always offer the best services to patients
They need protection from the selfish Kenyan ‘doctors ‘. A doctor who actually works the assigned hours is a treasure and should be protected
Ati shida iko wapi? how much resources should we waste on these people? how are we meant to improve our country? about 5 years back i used to volunteer over the weekends at Thika level 5 hospital neonatal wing. Only one doctor and one nurse were incharge of the entire floor. the intern would works sometimes for over 24 hours. he would be hungry sleepy and lacking enough support. the nurse was overwelmed. she needed help with the babies. the oxygen kits were fewe and many baibies in need died as we watched. we had limited gloves and medicine and asked patients to buy outside. so they would send you to town. if they didnt have enough money you can imagine the outcome. this is so foolish we need alshabab to bomb these stupid policy makers

Thika level 5 right? One doctor whole floor right? Did you check how many docs are actually being paid to work there? Probably an arrangement to work monthly shift among the docs then dedicate their time to private work

In my view if a skill is in short supply, then you have to pay top dollar for it. Being a doctor is hard work and these are the top brains in a country, therefore the Government has to work hard to keep public doctors in public service - leaving doctors at the mercy of corrupt counties we now agree was a mistake.
Kenyan docs started being incompetent never there layabouts long before they were transferred to the counties. The public would be right by their side on the Cuban issue if they had served them rightly

I can see why we will always serve the west. Kenyan doctors are given money to serve the public, badala yake wanachuna pesa za serikali na kuenda private clinic. Badala ya kuwafuta kazi, tunaenda ng’ambo tunatafuta wazungu tunawapa kazi na kuwalipa mshahara maradufu na escort, bado tunalipa hao lazy Kenyans to do their private work. Eish.
