As imperial President he had the right to convert public land to private lands. All roundabout in Nairobi suffered the same fate. Weston land belonged to two companies, one individual from Kisii and the other is this same person who is a former PC. In the NCL proceedings to follow up on that change of ownership a lot of this things got highlighted. Ahmed Nasir submission to them is that his client DP Uncle Ruto is the second owner. The first responded should be there but they are not even a person of interest. He showed them the loan taken to buy the land from them, when the title was transfered to them and when the loan was repaid. Another loan was taken to build the hotel. So if NCL is not interested in the first owner why are they pushing the second owner? Also in that whole excise in that street why him alone? That’s why NCL just slapped Kshs 300 million claim in favour of KCAA to end that matter.

The owner of former Taj mall is running for MP seat in the Embakasi by election under Wiper. No surprise there at kalonzo was chief of guest during the mall opening decades ago. One interesting thing he keeps saying is that the mall would still be there or the phase that encroached could only be demolished as he requested at the last year. On thing that he says did him in was the rumours that is was DP Ruto property. People wanted a bound of flesh from him as payback for defeating them in two elections and growing a big following in central. His rivals were very happy to find out it wasn’t his property but they can still claim victory over him without actually hitting at him. Interesting the demolitions ended just after Taj mall destruction.
