Arrived to assess some stations. One station gates still locked. I am mad coz my phone started ringing at 3:30 and I started making calls. I can overhear some clerks talking, there is some major hiccup. No ballot papers on site. They say some trained clerks opted out and so there is a frantic effort to get other clerks. Turns out the ckerks were trained but they were not allocated stations.
I cant believe it, people are being recruited as clerks at this hour, untrained, yet money was used to train others that were not posted to stations
Next polling station huge voter turn out. Hehe the incumbent MCA it seems has sniffed defeat and the story is of how he was drowning his sorrows in alcohol last night buying drinks to all and sundry especially the youths he has been buying muguka and using to settle political and personal scores no surprise his street name is sonko. The youths are all suffering fighting severe hangovers and drunkness but all the same wako hapa kung’oa mtu…but we could be wrong. Back to the other station to meet for a sitrep
