I think RAO failed in 3 parts. His campaigns were overly disorganised-read, their last Mombasa campaign. I don’t think they planned on how to cover the country effectively. For instance, instead of visiting Meru and Tharaka Nithi for a million and one times, they would have extensively campaigned in maasailand, gusiiland and Rift Valley. Secondly, I still believe most of his supporters didn’t take the real voting very serious. At some point, everyone was very sure that NASA was going to win. Their last rally at Uhuru park nailed it. They got overconfident! Lastly, if indeed there ever was rigging, then NASA is to blame 100%. The voting process was so watertight that you only required keen agents at each polling station for you to beat rigging. The only thing that NASA needed to do, if they had agents, was to give us their tallied result from their agents. Otherwise hii hekaya ya hacking ni kusumbua tu watu akili! My take.
