Justus comes in many shapes and forms

Acquittals and mistrials continue to stack up in cases of deadly encounters between black people and police officers, despite video evidence and aggressive prosecutors.

The week after the officer who fatally shot Philando Castile in Minnesota was acquitted, jurors cleared a Milwaukee officer in the death of Sylville K. Smith. And in Cincinnati, deadlock ended the retrial of the officer who killed Samuel DuBose.

Jurors appear to be most swayed by appeals to, as one defense lawyer said, “put yourself into the position of an officer on the scene of a situation like this and ask yourselves, ‘What would I do?’”

Above, video shows the fatal shooting of Mr. Castile.

Jurors already know that if they rule against the police, they will be signing their death warrants, as they will be hunted and will never be protected by the police… Hapa hakuna tofauti yao na Kenya police; shoot first, walk scot free anyway…

@123tokambio, as I see as if you got it, would you be kind enough to explain what ‘justus’ is?

It’s more about racism. Curiously, they never shoot white people like that.

PS: this is the reason that even though every black person and their dog knew OJ Simpson was guilty as sin, they lauded the verdict to acquit him.

Justus unangalia shape yake kwanini

Correct me if am wrong…in my view black americans are very violent people and very unlawful so when the police try to apprehend them inakuwa racism
Though sikatai racism iko but hawa blacks wa majuu hawapendi kufuata sheria in the first place.

Then how was Castile violent? Did he resist arrest? He even went ahead to declare he had a weapon, yet he still got shot just because he cop saw ‘he was reaching for something’. ATi the cop was fearing for life. How comes black cops don’t carelessly kill like the way white cops do?

Hio justus ni yake, sijui anamaanisha nini…

:D:D

Thats why I said that nakubali racism iko…

Crime, and especially violent crime, is committed in poor neighbourhoods. Poverty and crime go hand in hand and one thing that is factual is that poverty has a causal effect on the propensity to commit a crime. In fact, criminal behavior has a POSITIVE causal effect on economic well-being (ref: politicians in Kenya).

So before you say that “black americans are very violent people” (sic), you must demonstrate that they are violent because they are black! Of course you can’t, and this is where the argument falls apart. As the Spanish population increases in the US, so is the percentage of violent crime committed by people of spanish origin. Why? To quote the “most powerful man in the world”, Mexicans are killers and rapists. The discrimination that keeps minorities poor of essence also means that crime will be highest amongst that population.

To circle back, cops are more violent against black people because they EXPECT them to be violent or simply because they are racist.

Why can’t they simply pass a law that prohibits traffic police to use a gun when making arrest for a minor traffic offence. Here kenya whenever a traffic police stops you he does not come point a gun at you.

Only you can correct your kind of bigotry. In the video above, the aggressors are clearly the over-excited cops.

Americans love guns…to a point of making it a key voting issue in some states. Too many guns in civilian hands resulting in cops being jittery when they approach anyone. Mix that with racism & u have a perfect cocktail of wanugus being shot ovyo ovyo.

Sasawa keyboard warrior …FYI i was making a general observation and not necessarily about the video.

I agree with you here

We don’t carry arms either. At least not legally.

On any given day, more white people are apprehended by the police for misdemeanors and violent crimes than minorities. This is simply because of the proportions of population. All the people apprehended behave in the same unpredictable way but an overwhelming percentage of black people will be shot.

I therefore would be very interested to find out which statistics are being used to declare a black people more violent and unlawful. I have a sneaky feeling that this statement is made out of pure ignorance.
