Huyu msee ata sijui anafanya nini youtube. Zero content, zero skills, zero talent. Kazi ni kupiga tu maselfie na bibi yake. Ata nashangaa how he makes his money.

How is Desagu missing here. He has a larger following than anybody on this list

I deliberately omitted personalities who had already been famous through TV, radio, newspapers etc, otherwise the list would have had the usual "boring" suspects like Churchill, Eric Omondi, This is Ess, Caroline Mutoko, tens of gospel and secular musicians. I wanted a list of people who'd started a channel and grown it largely "organically". Desagu somehow fits the description, but by now he has a large enough following.
