Kenya Govt has Ordered China-made Vaccine... I Wouldn't Trust It!

Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe has confirmed that the government has ordered the China-made Covid-19 vaccine, SinoPharm, even as the country registered 11 Covid-19 related deaths on New Year’s Eve.

The CS made the announcement on Friday, January 1, outside Afya House after witnessing the signing of the return to work formula by the Kenya Union of Clinical Officers effectively ending their strike.

Kagwe also revealed that the vaccines would be expected to arrive in February.

“By the end of the second week of February, we might have the vaccine. Police, teachers and health care workers will be vaccinated first.
There will be no mandatory vaccination of anyone. It will be for those who are willing," stated Kagwe.

Of the positive cases, 96 are male and 60 are female while the youngest is a seven-month-old child. The oldest is 78

Today, 65 patients have recovered from the disease, 61 being from the Home-Based Care Program, while 4 have been discharged from various hospitals. The total recoveries now stand at 78,802.

Currently, there are 661 patients admitted in various health facilities countrywide and 2,960 on Home Based Isolation and Care.

28 patients are hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

He also warned that there might be a slight surge in cases after schools reopen on Monday, January 4, but assured Kenyans that the Ministry of Education was well prepared.

“Parents and County government officials must ensure that there are measures put in place and there is strict adherence to them. We have issued protocols on how to operate including protection of children and teachers as well,” stated Kagwe.

An inactivated vaccine is much more reassuring than the mRNA version.

Wadunge watu wa Tecno, Huawei na Infinix kwanza.

Our standards are very Chinese.

On another note, procuring from the Chinese guarantees opaqueness of the deal.

Fuck the Chinese

The reason for it not being mandatory is the cost of the exercise. Ni voluntary kama Huduma Namba.

Why can’t Kenyans develop their own vaccines fpr rheir own?
And you will still vote in these thugs in the next general elections??
Baafrighaa burree

Huduma ain’t voluntary fam, it’s mandatory

I don’t think so. Ama kuna new developments?

Tuliambiwa without it you are not Kenyan

Actually No.
Inactivated virus is now basically old technology which is now being outshown by mRNA by far.
So far all Inactivated virus vaccines are showing poor results against the mutations of COVID while the mRNA ones are still working.
In essence inactivated vaccines are good only if one particular strain is circulating and the virus is not mutating. Given its cheapness, it will forever be used for vaccines like measles which has not mututated in a major way in centuries. It will also be good for the likes of Rotavirus, Hepatitis A and B vaccines which are only needed a few times in a lifetime.
But mRNA vaccines may actually be the solution to HIV, Herpes which have no vaccines and better HPV, Influenza, Chickenpox, Ebola and any new Coronavirus vaccine that will emerge.
BTW if mRNA vaccines were bad, need I point out 6 million people have gotten it in Israel as of this week where only Pfizer and Moderna are being injected. They have shown to be a superior vaccine. Meanwhile the money we spent buying the Oxford /Astrazeneca vaccine may go to waste if we keep our border with TZ open for long and the SA variant sneaks into the country.

dont take that vaccine
