Kenyan volunteers are being checked for gene variations. That is, does the medication work in Africans. By the time they get to this stage, they already know that the medication works in humans. In simple terms, its not a test phase but a validation phase. And the majority of people tested are not Africans.

It has to cover everyone. Thats the expectation. You see when they say its 95% effective, they dont specify for whites only. Its universal. But how can it be universal when it has never been tested in Africans.
