Inshallah after we win this easy case and start drilling our oil in Somalia, alot of kenyans will have major Jobs in our gas and oil sectors, this is a win win for both nations
Btw the ICJ Hague president is a Somali national ;)
With this industry alone we’ll be overtaking the entire east Africa regions GDP combined within 8yrs, we’re estimated to have over 110billiom barrels of sweet crude oil (high quality) that oil is already seeping b4 we even start drilling
total oil blocks is over 230, currently we’re auctioning off 15 blocks (estimated 30billion barrels) the disputed area is only 15 blocks (which isn’t included in our current 230blocks)
This new wealth is good for the entire east africa region
Everything will be transparent, we just recently signed resource sharing agreement between all the Somali federal states
offshore+onshore:
Federal government: 42.5%
oil producing state and district: 42.5%
Non-producing states: 15%
the federal government get’s big cut in offshore (55%) while oil producing states take 50% of onshore oil.
Nope the refinery will be built in Somalia, it would make zero sense to build it Kenya.
The plan is to sell 600k barrels per day and eventually get up to 1.4million barrels per day by 2028, the oil drilling company will get 45% and Somalia will get 55%, if u average 750k barrels per day with a 63$ per barrel, Somalia should be getting at least 200million$ per MONTH!!! with our population of having only 12million that’s alot of money, this is why we’re clamping down on corruption hard
That’s why we’re heading to Houston Texas this July and present them some blocks lol better to have them on ur side right lol
Counting your eggs before the hatch is a big mistake. Here you are boasting of eating the egg while you still don’t have a chicken yet. First of all these are all estimates. None has been drilled to prove oil discovery. Even us Kenya we had 2D and 3D seismic oil data that show oil reserves. On our coastline 6 similar reserves were drilled but the oil discovery was low. The 30 oil inland rigs at Lodwar were successful, and 3 more in North Eastern had varyingly successful.

So its worse you are posting of potential oil finds before a single rig is done to drill it. Without exploration then you are literary boasting of an egg that you imaginary ate that doesn’t exist yet. The chicken is not known yet. The process of oil exploration takes 10-15 years from finance mobilization, geographic survey/studies, assembling the rig, transportation, drilling etc. Pipe down Uganda is in year 15 after their discovery and they aren’t this much excited like you.
Then let’s not kid ourselves it will take a very brave oil company with a full armata to go spend $$$$ million to drill for oil in the piracy waters of Somali. Even some cowboy oil firm agrees, they are not getting any insurance or risk cover from any firm anywhere.
Survey has already been concluded by Norway spectrum (very realiable surveyor who specializes in Offshore drilling) this is what they literally said
“Spectrum acquired and processed the 2D seismic data-sets over the offshore areas offered. The results, according to Eng. Karar Shukri Doomey, director general at the Ministry, suggest Somalia’s offshore hydrocarbon resources could be the largest anywhere in East Africa, or even across Africa as a whole.”
Licensing will start by December
Btw heres a 20billion$ family willing to invest asap, piracy is already dead now
