Keroche is not a public company. Therefore, its financial records are not public.
The government is using agencies such as the DCI, KRA etc to fight political wars.
Yesterday, the DP divulged information that could only be known to the shareholders of Keroche, and KRA auditors. He said that the company pays about $5M in taxes per year and employs 1000+ people. He also defended Tabitha with great zeal.
Is Ruto a shareholder at Keroche industries?? Is the government going after Keroche because of Ruto’s business interests?? How did Ruto know about Keroche’s financials and inner operations??
Keroche finds themselves in a situation whereby they backed the wrong horse… I.e Ruto.
It will be interesting to watch how things will unfold for them between now and 2022. The situation they find themselves in reminds me of Khodorovsky in Russia
Politics is a perception game, and when it comes to optics the man isn’t afraid to be seen as an everyday kym trying to scratch a living under an oppressive regime characterized by rich kids.
Maybe Keroche serves both business and political interests, not just political interests. Ruto is an opportunist. If he is a shareholder, he will try to salvage whatever he can even if it is political mileage from Mt.Kenya voters. Politics and business are not mutually exclusive. A politician can have business interests and extract political mileage from the same company. The KRA crackdown explains Ruto’s business interests in the company.
Keroche empire is more close to Raila than ruto, During the kibaki tenure, when keroche was launching the company in naivasha, she made so many attempt to invite kibaki during the launch.The idea is a senior person in government being there during the launch, would create a impression that even the government endorse the venture and thatway it would be easier for her to secure more loans from banks.unfortunately the bureaucrats in government could not allow that to happen.
Baba was attending an official function in kisumu and in his busy schedule, he opted to land in naivasha so as to attend the launch just for 15min.The idea was so fascinating that baba had to postpone the occasion he was to attend in kisumu and instead he spent the entire afternoon in launching of the project.
Was there not a time when they said Raila had interest? Ofcourse because of the launch he attended and the fact that Keroche was being harassed?

From what you have said and from what we have seen in the past then it is clear that this keroche lady is a polical player and not an innocent business lady.

For for what it’s worth i agree with him on this. You keep pushing these companies to the wall they’ll start moving ship to neighbouring countries. Dangote cement company would also av employed 1000s and paid millions in taxes, twitter was rumoured to be considering Kenya but moved to Ghana with less IT experts coz of the online digital tax.
