Police have raided the home of former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale in search for materials they allege would be used to disrupt Thursday election.
The officers led by Mr Bernstein Shari, the Kakamega Central criminal investigations boss went to the politician’s home in Malinya, Ikolomani, armed with a search warrant.
Mr Shari said they have information that Mr Khalwale, who unsuccessfully contested for governorship in the August election, has mobilised youth to interfere with polling programmes on Thursday.
They claimed the former Senator has collected old tyres and stored them at his home. They allege the tyres are to be given to the youth to light bonfires to disrupt the elections.

We are unequivocally back in the Moi days. Jubilidiots might think it is funny until the day you find yourselves on the receiving end of this lawlessness.
Mujamaa anapatikana after 1 minute ya kutafutwa, should take a leaf from mzito OneJiggy, alitafutwa 72hrs kama amejificha chini ya kitanda, hata mlango hakuna wa kuvunja, hakuna bibi wa kumshikashika tufanye Khalwale challenge. Pesa mingi saaaaaaaaaana ni kitu Poa

Maybe we deserve that kind of leadership. Tunapewa freedom tunaikojolea. To Africans they think freedom is doing all manners of things whether lawless or whatever.
