Kikuyu Owned Restaurants

If you want to ruin your Sunday, just visit a Kikuyu owned restaurant. Tasteless, badly cooked food. Don’t forget the small portion sizes. Sijui greed inakuwanga imefika wakikuyu hotel owners wapi. You get better value in a Somali owned restaurant. As a Kikuyu, I am disappointed and I wouldn’t recommend anyone to visit an average restaurant owned by a Kikuyu where the owner has a vice grip on operations. I highly recommend Somali restaurants. Tasty food, good portion sizes, value for money. I am a Kikuyu but when I see garbage I call it as it is. I wouldn’t be caught dead in a Kikuyu owned restaurant when there are alternatives nearby. This is why I never eat in Kiambu town.

True, hapa Ngong kuna some Kikuyu hotels the meal portions is soo small. Tuchapo tudogo and madondo is 70% soup served on a plate that looks like a sauce pan. On the other hand there is a luo lady with a restaurant, Ile portions and food taste is out of this world and her price almost half of the former

Hapo nimekubaliana nawe kabisa. Mimi ni Mkikuyu na sipendi hii tabia ya andû a nyumba ya kufinya mteja mpaka Kwa chakula. These days I only eat from Luo or Swahili owned hotels. The food is tasty and often served in very large portions. Plus you can get even saucer if you are a regular customer. Try that with a Kyuk hotel and you will receive a very bad sneer.

Well, I see no lies in this post. My biggest issue with Okuyu hotels is offering what they want and not what the customer wants. Naulizia nyama naletewa viazi kubwa na zile vitu green green na nyama tatu, alafu na besheni ya supu unauliza ni ya kuosha mkono ama ni ya nini unaambiwa ni ya kukula. Damn.

That said, Charlie’s Bistro is one of my favorites and they’re very consistent I’ve never once had an issue with them. It’s owned by a Kikuyu. Let’s give credit where it is due.

I agree. You go to a restaurant with a very good ambience and interior design but the food portion is small and overpriced. Ata haina ladha.

Lakini fika Mombasa Swahili restaurants ukule chakula mpaka umeze vidole. Kwanza biryani ya Barka ni worldclass na unapata bei iko chini. Ata president anachukua takeaway huko.

Halafu kuna sahani hutumia za mabati huwa zina shine. Hizo plate wakinunua ni kama huziweka chini zikiwa inverted halafu wanakanyaga inakuwa flat. Zinakuwa kijiko moja halafu wanaongezea maji.

There’s one tulinyorosha…they used to pima ugali kwa sahani ya soup, sahii inakatwa from sufuria na hata sosa iko. The guy has now employed good cooks…samaki pia iko. Pls always give them feedback. I believe Okuyus are willing to improve - I mean wale quality iko chini.
