I currently use a hp omen 15x core i9 10th gen. Due to the nature of my work, which I travel often. I find it uncomfortable carrying it around, coz of it weight. I need something light but can still perform. Kindly advise thanks!

I like my zenbook but will be moving to a macbook soon. They have really improved on performance based on the reviews and the cost is not that much if your laptop is 16gb ram and an i7 processor.
First does your computing work require a GPU? For instance OpenGL will require a GPU but not necessarily a powerful one. Do you stay for extended periods of time without power connection? Would you mind getting a second hand unit?
A simple solution is just to buy a MacBook Pro. But if you don’t like MacOS just like NYAMGONDHO you might need to go through a couple of hoops before getting a decent unit.
For Intel Laptops you have to get one where the CPU TDP is 35W if you want decent performance.
