We have gotten the whole goodwill thing twisted....in my understanding it's Just a thank you gesture sio that's it's compulsory and it's to be paid the the previous business tenant of that premises...sio to the agent or landlord....and it definitely should not be charged in a new building....siku hizi hata goodwill is more than the rent that is being charged
