Who has ever integrated a system with either safcon or government that checks if the name provided matches the Id number provided (for govt) or the phone number provided matches the id of the user (for safcon)? If you have kindly share with me the details on how to go about the process coz I think there are APIs that does that.

I have a project requiring that. Sent a DM to transunion and asked for my email, never heard from them.

I have asked safcon on twitter and they have said hakuna yet there are system that does it already, kuwatajia hivo wameenda mute

Try IPRS, they have a government database that facilitates the same.

Vile umeambiwa hapo juu, tumia IPRS. Shida yake ni vile huwa inaenda offline mara mob and being run by a government agency, huwezi wapigia kuwapush… you work at their pace. And fyi, there is a fee charged for every query you make.

Seems wameficha iyo API. If they would expose such endpoints, devs tunge benefit sana.

Safaricom subscriber data imekua sokoni for some time.

It’s called the human being at the registration point. There ae serious legal consequences for an MPesa agent that registers fake details. That is a complete system and redundancies in place. There’s no need for anymore complications.

Ulisaidiaka ama? We did a demo project to NHIF last year that plugs into the IPRS API when validating onboarded members via the ID numbers. We sourced for the API from Bonga SMS. Ingia DM nikuelekeze

Sijasaidika omwami, is the system still running?

No, but it’s codebase is within reach incase you need a demo
