KIVUMBI 2017

My favourite panelists Amdeny Jennifer,Muluka and Dr. Awiti hosted by Joe Ageyo on KTN NEWS discussing inclusion of all Kenyans in the development agenda and detribalisation of development and politics to ensure that no group is marginalized to death, from independence! The zero sum game that is our politics in Kenya and how the political elite drive ethnic tensions in Kenya.

The last time I checked the cabinet had the face of Kenya… Matiangi, Mailu, Omamo, Wakhungu, Wamalwa, Balala, Kazungu, Wario, Adan, Amina, Rotich, Kandie, Macharia, Bett, Rotich…
Just because Orengo, Kalonzo and Raila are not in the list does not make it less inclusive

Amdeny is one of the most irritating panelist to ever grace the TV. She is always driving a feminist idea as if everything wrong with politics in this country is because there are few women in leadership.
I for one hate that presumptuous attitude and I do hope we have a referendum question on the 2/3 gender rule.
People should win parliamentary seats based on merit and not because of their gender. In that same breath I was very happy with Laboso’s win because I loved the way she marshaled parliament in the absence of the speaker. She definately deserved it.

Daisy was once a neighbour of mine when we stayed in jamhuri hapo ngong road.
I next saw her trying to be a political opportunist when in the media.
She has/works for an organisation that deals with women’s rights.
She was at a press conference with jirongo and his kadu party pledging support, and soon after, in odm, pledging support.
She’s only looking for the opportunity to be put in some govt position or to be nominated.
She’s nonsense to me despite her big titties.
She’s a mum of 3 kids I think.

Good luck with that! With women making almost 50% of the population. With only 19% in parliament being women, its obvious that affirmative action is a requirement by law. Which World do you live in? Where its about merit? Dream on! Women reps seats are staying put plus nominations for women are going up plus women are now becoming governors, and other male dominated seats till we get to atleast 50/50 like Rwanda. Wacha kujichocha na referendum! Nobody will remove 2/3 rule ever!

Am back to work no more tym to write long posts. Gotta make up for the one week I was out of business!

Thank you for making my point. You make up 50+ % of the population yet women still cannot win majority of the seats. Why is that?
50+% of women voted for donald trump while they had a female candidate. Why is that?
Women are winning governor sits on merit. They were voted in not through affirmative action. Siku za kupatiwa za bure are coming to an end.

The day it comes to an end pls send me your adress I send you a car :p. So Trump had more merit?Poor pple are more than 50% do u see them voting for their fellow poor pple? Which kind of logic is.this you’re peddling? This is what Im telling you,it has nothing to do with merit, ask Bomet people how much money was poured in the area? You’re naive how politics works. Merit has nothing to do with it. Maybe only Ngilu merited it. Anyway, Ive challenged you when it ends demand an expensive gift frm me. Me I put my money wea my mouth is. Empty rhetorics are beneath me.

There you are reiterating my point again. Where is affirmative action for poor people in leadership? Aren’t their views legitimate as well.
Also, where is affirmative action for women in the military? Don’t you want 50/50 in the military?
Maybe all women want is affirmative action where they can sit pretty without putting much effort. Maybe the women who throw their hats into the ring, and tough it out with fellow contestants have a more legitimate claim than this bench warmers like Amdeny or you too.
I will definitely be holding you to that gift. The internet never forgets sweetheart.

What is your problem anyhow? You don’t want women to enjoy the perks? Military is for men. Let them go and die there. Why should women die when all wars are started by men? For the sake of their inflated egos.If Hillary was prezxo this N.Korea war manenos being pushed by the Trump would not be there. Let me tell you. Please remind me when 2/3 rule is repelled, even if am 100! Remind me. Its you who is ending b4 it ends. Infact nominations of women have gone up. So am sorry things aren’t going your way, but when you wont accept reality, thts all you can expect. Btw pls check Rwanda you see how women are really being ‘favoured’! There its over 50% women in parliament!

On the contrary women can enjoy all the perks they can get, just not at the expense of everyone else. Being a woman is not a handicap. To literate my point, the USA has been in existence for 100+ years and still women are not equal to men?? Now look at what they are experiencing. Wage gap, man-spreading, fat shaming, mansplaining…BULLSHIT!!
That is the future we are looking to if this nonsense is not nipped in the bud.
And thank you for making my point again. All you want is white collar jobs where you can sit on your high-back leather seat and where your well manicured nails never meet the dirt.
Btw, where are the women in the construction industry too??

You seem to have a chip in your shoulder when it comes to women like many men here.Lemme break it down for yah bcz fyi there’s affirmative action in all areas for women. Education, work, politics. Check entry marks for high school, campus and colleges. Check criteria for jobs in govt. Women with lower qualifications are given the opportunity.

Id like to go to the details as to why this the case but I will allow you, your bigotry. Fyi, even majority poor pple are women. Women own only 1% of the worlds wealth. Those jobs you speak of recquire male strength. Women still work the least paid jobs. Like labor in agriculture thats the least paying is almost at 80%! Everything is skewed against women. If there’s any group of pple in dire need of affirmative action they would be it. The only understanding I can have of you bias against such a highly marginalized group who make up half of the world population is hate. How can anyone argue with hate? Try telling a skinhead or a neo Nazi why black folk are marginalized and recquire reparation. You could speak of slave trade till you’re hoarse. All you’ll get is tears of rage or a knife up your back. Hate all you want. When you’re down there’s nowea to go but up. Women used to be at 5% now we’re at almost 20% of the legislature! One step at a time, all the hate in the world, cant stop us. We’ll be at 50% someday. In politics in Kenya, women cannot compete, they don’t have the money, they don’t have the hooligans. Many dont have the support of their respective societies/communities. MP elect Hijara said today, she was told abt her political ambitions, noone would give her a chance because she’d need maternity time, her brothers were taunted to be weak for letting her go for politics instead of them but this Somali lady after nomination is now elected. Affirmative action has raised women who now can be elective reps in their own rights. To me Karua and Ngilu are the only women who with no nomination or appointment made it in Kenyan politics. Laboso inherited her seat from her sister. Waiguru was appointed as CS Planning and Devolution first.
