KRA TIMS

Just read kwa MMNN that KRA is planning to roll out this new tax invoice management system(TIMS) any time soon which will require a company ETR/ESD machine to be linked with KRA itax system and be updating on a daily basis.
Talkers in the know kindly enlighten us who are in business mapema. We are not ready to be shafted some more by the taxman.

This is a reality and all one will have to comply since the ETRs will be online and will send all your transactions as you issue the ETRs and it is supposed to ease reconciliations as it will be updating your ledgers online automatically and am sure all they will be asking one to do is to view the ledger and accept the already captured transactions online. The challenge will be with situations where one buys from Supermarkets and they do not have your PIN details. And in situations where you sell to customers who are not registered for VAT. The noose is really tightening on us!!

Kulipa ushuru Ni kujitegemea

I actually don’t have a problem paying tax …shida ni ati nalipa tax and mtu ako busy buying bulletproof helicopters , laundering my money through BETIN and campaigning for elections after an election while others are busy buying banks and buying more milk factories…

I agree with you 100% I just wish there was a way not to pay…

HAPO SASA ndiyo huduma namba inaingilia. That is how hautauza wala kununua.

I can foresee a situation where they will require us to produce the Huduma Number for mundane things like buying sugar in a kiosk!! Well, it is an excellent idea since all Kenyans will suffer DIRECTLY and will help us feel the pain of electing thieves.

Seen the story on Business Daily.
This is some pretty annoying shit.

Kuna mbuzi bado zitapanga laini kupiga kura kwa fisi aliyejulikana kama Dkt. Ruto huko 2022. Mateso yaendelee. Tano Terror, kumi fresh

TRA, Tanzania has been having this ETRs from back in 2010. You transact and issue an ETR and it automatically logs it in to their servers. Always wondered why it took Kenya soo long to adapt seeing that Kenya is usually a step ahead technology wise.
Same with Pre-paid electricity metres, TZ got them waay way back. Aka Luku (tokens)

The problem is that this will free these mongrels to go out extorting traders for other issues of non-compliance and they are many!! Then the cash they collect is swiftly stolen by even more powerful mongrels up there!!!

The second milk persona I’m aware of, but thanks for enlighting I on the betin one!
