Kuchotwa na auctioneers

Manze it can be a sad sight.

Nimetoka hapa garden city na kuna duka imekuwa auctioned tu hivo by the mall managament…everybody is there scrambling to get some stuff of interests.

Just to think kuna emoloyees whose jobs have gone tu hivo ni sad bana.

Lakini pia hizi malls are charging way too much rent and they are doing nothing to keep customers coming. Garden city has had several shops closing their doors every month and really no new oitlet has opened up tangu ifunguliwe.

Sad, hope ulikimbia washroom’s to grab yourself them free tissues

No need niko na stock ya kutosha kejani!

The only businesses I find successful in Kenyan malls are food joints which are always buzzing with activity. Kenyans, especially women, love food and support these businesses. Any other business seems to be struggling. Most people in Kenya use malls as “meeting points” and don’t go there purposely to shop. This explains why only food joints make a killing and not other businesses.

Umechota tissue ngapi

I always tell my niggas wakiona dalili za auctioneer, peleka gari kwa your favourite uncle ama ficha kwa one of the basement parkings in town where soldiers are your personal friends. Hamisha certificates kwa sister yako, TV na tenje peana kwa your neighbour same as your favourite clothes utakua ukichukua moja moja asubuhi ukivaa. Basically strip the house to the bare minimum. Auctioneers wakikuja, wanapata tuu mattress yenye vipii wamekojolea na old newspapers. Labda uwaonee huruma wapate sofa set.
In our formative years in Nairobi, landlords waliona maneno. Nyumba unaingia na mattress na kiti ya plastic pekee. Kukikauka unahama kama ndege saa hio unadaiwa rent ya kama three months. Did I mention nyumba imeharibiwa na moshi ya stove. Man must live and live he must.

To understand malls, ask yourself why you visited one in your last three visits. Personally, I only visit malls to meet clients, or to take women out, or meet friends. I have never visited a mall with the purpose of buying anything because I already have the impression that items are “expensive”. This is why the only business that benefits from my visit is the restaurant or the bank in case I need to withdraw/deposit some cash.

True…makosa sitawai rudia hii kenya tena ni kununua kiatu kwa mall…apart from Bata! Nimenunua kiatu kwa duka flani alafu nikapata the exact same shoe elsewhere ikiuzwa 1500 less what i bought it for…niliskia nimeibiwa hio pesa.

Why did you have to take a pic of the chemtrail instead of kusafisha mecho ya watu wa diaspora na mbica za mall na fine ghels there? SMH

Pole kama uko diaspora…next time nitaweka

Actually naishi fote four. But thank you
