Kugeuziwa na Peasants

Hii story ya Wendy imenikumbusha several instances nimejaribu kusaidia peasants wenzangu na nikachomeka ama kugeuziwa mbaya mbofu. Huko ocha kwetu watu hufuga ng’ombe though on a small scale aka peasant dairy farming. Out of it, the little milk they get hawapati kitu since most of it go bad or is taken by non paying neighbours. Taking it to the market would be a loss given the distance and the cost(transport) involved. The nearest dairy is like 150km away.
Sasa one time mimi na kiherehere nikasema since Niko na pick up(504), wacha nijitolee niwe nafanya aggregation ya maziwa from fellow peasants as a way of kuwasaidia niwapelekee kwa nearest trading centre where there is a market. Nilikuwa natoka home na maziwa yetu napita nikiokota maziwa in smalll.milk churns from my fellow peasants. Weeh! Ile maneno nilionyeshwa na kuwekelewa. Eti nawakamua. Peasants wanataka niwapeleke maziwa bure using my fuel, I waste my time hawking and distributing it halafu niwaletee pesa yote na milk churns kwa boma; FOR FREE. Niliondokea ngori after one week. Walinitafuta after maziwa kwanza kuharibikia kwa nyumba ama kuchukuliwa na non paying customers wakaona heri vile nilikuwa nawapelekea but by then, I had moved on after learning my lesson.
If you are a billionaire and/or good hearted, saidia peasants at an arm length and if possible, let them run their own show. Itakusaidia for your peace of mind.

Where you are from is where you will get hated on the most i know this through experience.

Ulijitolea, did you explain to them first? Did they know how much you charging them?

Anyway, I think you are narcistic

I’m asking the same question, because things have to be put down in black and white. You probably had an idea to make a little of them, maybe.

Mimi back in the day, of sharing flats nikiwa huko desert, time ya kuhama ilipofika, nika alert flatmates intentions za kuhama. I put down a list of things I was going to take away that they had been enjoying courtesy of me.
Stress ikaanza wapata… No arguments niliwapa my conditions and let them decide.

Nearest dairy 150Km away?

Kweli kabisa. This is a lesson one needs to learn practically, yeye mwenyewe. Ukishasoma hiyo, you never put your fingers into people’s business. Utakuwa tu unacheki mambo kwa mbali watu wanajimwagilia petroli, wanapiga kiberiti, wewe unaondokea.

You learn the hard way. If you ever see someone just seated there doing things the same way day in day out. Leave them alone. But if you meet someone striving to get out of poverty, those are the ones you help.

Mimi kuna time nilijaribu kujisaidia bana, I immediately realised kusaidia maskini ni ngumu

Some people here are talking as if village peasants in large ignorant numbers can make smart decisions to save their lives. There is a reason they are peasants. Story itaanza na 'yule kijana wa fulani anakula pesa yetu yote ndio maana watoto wake wote wako university na wazazi wake wanakula kuku kila siku…nyef nyef…

I think one has to be a big cow to imagine that someone will burn his fuel and time kumpelekea maziwa 30 km away kwa soko. I had made it clear kwamba nitanyoa za macho from the word go. Shida ilitokea when my fellow peasants walipiga hesabu ya aggregate amount I was to collect. You see Manu Chandaria akisemekana ni billionaire watu huona the aggregate of his billions not his effort of aggregating 5s,10s and 20s to accumulate billions. So some feel that he is making a lot for one man.

Imagine bro. If you come from Kiambu, you kind of take such things for granted.

this is very true. poor people become entitled. that’s why you hear serikali isaidie and if you don’t, then you’re that rich mean selfish boob who doesn’t and will never help anyone.

Siku hizi siwezi wacha kunywa beer ama kupeleka watoto out eti nisaidie a needy relative. Most peasants ukiwasaidia once they morph into overly entitled pricks. Utasikia wakisema anabadilisha magari lakini hawezi saidia mtu. If that fails, wanageuzia your spouse for changing you from a good generous man to a mean son of a gun. Upuss!!!

Waaa, that’s serious. I don’t come from there though.

Have you ever noted/observed that the purported peasants live a more peaceful life than the purported rich ?

Same experience different products and different ride, but more or less same ending.

They’ll talk, majority are ignorant with a capital t.

Some actually assume a billion is less than a billion

Ma hater wanakuanga wengi sana

Sure but that peace is shattered at the slightest sign of trouble. Imagine being sick and forced kuka kwa nyumba eti haina mbao ya kununua kitabu kwa dispensary ama ten Bob ya panadol hakuna. Worse, mtoto amepita kwenda national school na huna any.

Well, I think that’s below a peasant…or I think Ktalk has changed the meaning of a peasant. I understand even if you make a million per month, as long as you’re employed, you’re a peasant here.
