Av never really known how the Prado and V8 trim levels work. All I know is if a Prado doesn’t have the 3 liter turbo-diesel 1KD engine that makes a nice exhaust whistle, it’s not worth it, the 2.7 liter petrol is frustratingly underpowered
Prados have many different flavors on thr same box (generally, but there is a short chassis version called RZ)… TX, TX-L, TZ, TZ-G Are Japanese Domestic Market Versions where TZ was 4000cc petrol high spec Prado, TZ-G now is high spec 4000cc petrol and 2.8L diesel. Other countries have VX, VXL, GX, GXL l, Kakadu which for VXs are diesel versions and GXs are petrols e.g. In Australia anf Kakadu is highest soec diesek Prado… In each of these varions are optional features like height control, KDSS, Sunroof, leather seats, reverse cameras, etc…
To add to this is a caution : to climb hills with ease, your only option is diesels both 2.8k and 3l, and the 4l petrol… The 2700c petrol Prado will never give you an ejaculation…
