landlords headache

as a landlord, ama agent, what challenges are you facing with your rental property ama tenants, and how are you dealing with it?

I happen to manage an apartment block that belongs to a relative who is out of the country… lokashen is the sprawling Eastlands… now, apart from guys wanting covid discounts, and others wanting 100% reprieve on payments since the onset…there are those who are still at work earning Kama kawaida especially the civil servants who are just straight taking full advantage of this situation and not commiting to pay… Story ni… covid imekaza belt… hakuna pesa.

Ningekua landlord ninge toa tenant halipi asap

Water crisis. Tenants now prefer houses with borehole.
Kuna place agent aliskia tenants wameungana that hawatalipa rent juu ya pandemic. Lorry ililetwa na police ndio awasomee riot act loud and clear on a Sunday. He spends alot on kamjesh kufurusha watu hawajalipa.

Tenants sumbua wale wa ata small small things a man of the house can sort story ni simu simu simu. Hai, that’s why kuna business line, mtu anakula block. Ole wako you get those destructive types kazi ni kushinda waliharibu fixtures za nyumba beyond deposit level. Yes and rent defaults. If you are building, target the upper middle class with high standard housing that they would appreciate to be in and have little difficulty in paying rent back to back to back. Wakati huu wa corona if possible, a small reprieve at the very least if you could goes a long way in terms of goodwill na tenants. It’s the kind of behaviour that engenders loyalty na assured tenants

All over people are complaining they are not able to pay rent.hadi wenye Ni civil servants.last month wapangaji watatu walihama, nliskia walienda to a cheaper house.anyway tunaskumana ivo ivo

They instantly remove their phones and start tarnishing your name all over shosho media.

I think as a landlord it’s good to give breaks…

Like i know oldman… Doesn’t collect December rent… So that mtu aji pange January.

Then during this covid time… Rent ime drop from 35k to 20k…and those tenants are great full…

It’s good to be human. And God will always bless you.

Huyo ako na pesa, and probably with grown up kids so very little bills to pay. Thats why he is giving back, he has lived a good life.

Rentals mob huwa ni loans zinaservice. Mwangi wa Equity hatambui defaulted payments juu ya Corona. Kosa kulipa uone vile utakujiwa na fujo

Tough times to be a landlord. Our default/sumbuana rate is at 50 %. Bahati ni no loan is being serviced otherwise we’d be renegotiating with banks.

Tough time. Uchumi iko mbaya saidi

Landlord alifunga kwangu na padlock yake so nlifungua padlock yangu nika funga mlango wa kwake na padlock yangu ili tutafutane

Oh nimesahau vuck KRA

bonobos wanateta all day about how the country is run by thugs , ati ooh corruption , ooh bad leadership but if you look at how they handle their businesses or fellow citizens , unashangaa why they cant see the log in their eyes…hypocrites !

This statement is so satisfying

Terrorist capitalist landlords. How much of your humanity do you need to freeze to kick a mother and her children out to the kerb?
