Laptop Charging problems

I am using a HP laptop but it won’t charge beyond 79% ata niweke kwa charge the whole night.

Nimejaribu HP hardware diagnostics na battery test na sioni shida. Google has not been useful at all.

How do I get it to charge past 80%?

Buy another laptop…

Age is just a number, so is that percentage

I know the solution but nikikwambia utajifanya mjuaji and dismiss it like a know it all

tafadhali saidia. I have eaten the humble pie na kuwa mnyenyekevu

I’m sure you recently bought a new charger. Issue ni hiyo. Chinese chargers are fake. Enda kwa fundi umwabie akuuzie second hand charger ya laptop imechapa

This may not necessarily be a charger issue. But it’s a nice place to start. Issue inaeza kuwa software, hardware etc. You need to troubleshoot everything patiently. The last option should be to replace the battery. Lazma uelewe shida iko wapi through elimination. It’s time to hit the forums.

I was going to say that the battery is the problem. Their capacity reduces as they age. So just replace it.

This is true… Battery ages over time… If the battery ages, it should still charge to full capacity lakini inadrain very fast like in 30 minutes. A battery change should be the last thing. Unless the battery was already holding power for a fraction of the expected time. also consider running the OEM battery software.

79%. Not 75%? Mhhhh… Curious. Uliibiwa battery. Hiyo battery ni ya hiyo laptop? Ju inakaa ni kama hiyo battery mAH rating yake ni kaa ndogo by 25% Ama pia umejaribu kung’oa battery driver na kureinstall?

Or maybe you are in Limuru where its too cold for batteries to charge past 79

ni HP 840 G3…siwezi toa battery…

shida imeanza two weeks ago…nashangaa issue ni nini

:D:D:D:Dnot sure about that…koz immediately nilihamia ilikuwa sawa but after some time, inaleta shida

Hehee charge it when covered in blankets

Battery inakaribia shell life yake, next step ni kureduce or increase the % of charge before it becomes a desktop

Oh No…

Have you tried checking if you changed any setting on battery manager? Most of them set it to charge up to 80%. Just go to bios and check battery options. Maybe you triggerd that setting unknowingly.

asande sana

that was the issue… Sijui sasa vyenye ilijiweka hivo
