First of all, Russell is in the Mercedes driver program, so he was somewhat familiar with the machinery even if he doesn't drive the car every weekend. Secondly, Russell is actually talented, but still not good enough to challenge the GOAT. Hamilton sometimes wins by 25-second margins, that's YUUUUUGE in F1. Ata kama the car is good, he still pushes it to its limit. My point is, if you put Hamilton in a Williams or Renault or Alfa Romeo he'll still give better results than his teammate. He won't win, but his results will be significantly better than average. That's where the talent comes in.

Even Rosberg's win was pure luck, winning by a measly 5 points. If Ham hadn't had a DNF in Malaysia then Rosberg's season would have ended in tears. That's why he ran away after winning because he knew Hamilton would absolutely destroy him the next year. The thing with Hamilton is that he achieves all these results while touring the world, attending fashion shows, making music etc while his competitors have to remain focused on racing 100%.

This is a stupid argument. The only team order I remember where Mercedes clearly favored Hamilton was in Sochi in 2018. That was to give Lewis maximum points against Vettel in a year that Ferrari had been a real threat. You can't compare this to Red Bull where it's clear that Max is the number one driver. That's why Danny Ric had to leave because Horner would clearly favor Max. The same with Vettel and Mark Webber. Bottas doesn't come anywhere near the GOAT, it's good he knows his place.

Redbull is business conglomerate who don't give a shit about sponsors. They are there for their own image. For mercedes, racing has to meet a certain minimum bottom line otherwise they wouldn't be on the grid. They are more sponsors reliant than redbull so they cannot risk appearing partial to one driver or risk certain sponsors/investors pulling out.
