Maize saga diary...

The number of bags of maize required changes once again to six million bags as Kiunjuri is put to task by the Parliamentary committee on agriculture. He denies that any maiz is being imported from Mekiko…insisting everything will be imported from COMESA. For the first time a company, Commodity House, appears on the scene, with a claim that they have already been paid shs 1.8 Billions advance payment. This figure is being disputed whether it is an advance payment or a pending bill…Do not forget that at the beginning we had been told that the 12.5 mill bags would be imported by private millers so I don’t know why the government is paying for maize again… my gut instinct is that this money was to be made to disappear by the usual characters…
The saga continues…

meanwhile no one on the street , opposition is dead as dodo. … the struggles continues

I heard some farmers saying they have hundreds of maize in store still looking for buyer with a good price.
Others said it’s only a month to harvest time and can’t understand why government need to buy maize from outside.

Kiunjuri’s outwitting the schemers, refusing to be a scapegoat.

I suspect the farmers are from the rift. But why are the guys there quiet? Or is that hawawezani opposition politics?

I am yet to be convinced he’s not in with them…his body language…

Now that they have been brainwashed that govt want to assassinate their kingpin, they can’t talk as they feel they are being targeted and thus they would not talk in solidarity with their kingpin.

The maize is there but will not be enough

funny, Commodity House, which has been paid 1.8B, and which is listed as having a mombasa address, has virtually no internet presence except an inactive facebook page and entry in the Business List.
