Malindi Land at 15k an acre

Wakubwa, Kuna hii deal napewa ya land huko Malindi at 15k an acre but nitaongeza kakitu juu to do subdivision, adjudication etc. I’ve been thinking of retiring to the coast, niweke man cave and a few fruit trees.
For those who’ve been there, swali ni:
How is this land, nikinunua kama 50acres, nitakuja kufurushwa baadaye?
What crops do well there?
How is the rain throughout the year? The community, are they friendly?

Malindi wapi? Kama ni Chakama, 15k an acre is possible

Mimi nimekuwa hapa coast for the last three years, kikazi, and I would say the only fascinating thing about this region is the beautiful ocean, and the tourists, nothing More.

15k/ acre is a very remote area without basic facilities. Maji masafi taabu, shule taabu, hospitali taabu, barabara taabu, majirani wote maskini( you’ll look odd), ugly environment e.t.c.

Tafuta plot kandokando ya bahari( not>3rd raw from the ocean) na utaenjoy maisha. Beautiful landscapes, well maintained estate Roads, electricity, neighbourhood beach bars/ hotels, Evening sea breeze etc.

Marafa pia,a bit far,but good area for macadamias and water melon my current project, title deeds zilitoka after a year of panicking. Where is chakama?

Haina noma chief, nitakulizia hio tractor hapo town center

I don’t know the area well lakini iko along ile njia inatoka Malindi to tsavo

True, generally an inhabitable place… Ama huyu jamaa anaconiwa.

Ama ni place ingine nilipita was so hot, dry, uninhabited and no trees the only shadow was mine.

nimekajua hako ka road, jalopy ilikwama hapo time flani nikavutwa na KWS

Kumbe wewe ni mcoastiii. No wonder matusi tu ndio umejaza kinembeni

If you are buying land for 15k for an acre, you are not buying it for residential purposes. Well you could… but you probably shouldn’t.

Tuliza nyege za kisenge, chupi imekudondoka au vipi? mimi ni njaruo kinyozi ,uliza kijijini,

First of all do due diligence. I stayed in Kilifi for a week and mixed with the locals ( without letting them know my intentions). I asked random questions which seemed pointless to them and almost drank mnazi. You weigh the risk factor against potential gain by mingling with the natives.

For retirement, I’ll be blunt and tell you that it depends on your last name…that’s the Kenya we live in.

If the land has no papers or title deed, do not indulge. Utafukuzwa tu siku moja kama hizi shamba za Kenya Railways

Be careful rural coast people do not like watu wa bara
