Manchester City win appeal and Champions League ban lifted

BREAKING: Manchester City win appeal and Champions League ban lifted

City will play in the Champions League next season. More to follow.

Whilst Manchester City and its legal advisors are yet to review the full ruling by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), the Club welcomes the implications of today’s ruling as a validation of the Club’s position and the body of evidence that it was able to present. The Club wishes to thank the panel members for their diligence and the due process that they administered.

City have won their appeal at CAS - two-year ban overturned. Club will only have to pay a 10m euro fine after being ruled to have contravened Article 56 of the Club Licensing and Financial Fair Play Regulations #mcfc https://tas-cas.org/fileadmin/user

Manchester City’s two-year ban from the Champions League has been overturned entirely, meaning the club will compete in the competition next season, while their €30m fine has been reduced to €10m.
