It has been my mantra that slapping ones wife is wrong,but yesternight I clobbered my second wife mercilessly.
It so happened that I left town late around 1am got home to a warm welcome(this being her week to host me -I spend a week at each wife’s-)only to be served githeri!
The issue is not githeri(it’s one of my favorite foods -am gikuyu karing’a-)but the question was who prepared it?
She runs one of my shops in town and she closes at around 10pm!so there is no way she could have prepared the githeri .
I posed the question n she bluntly told me that it was the housegirl who had prepared it !
I’m a gikuyu man n I couldn’t fathom the whetherwithal of a polygamist having to eat food prepared by the housegirl!
I stopped eating the food barely after two mouthfuls n descended on her raining slaps from ‘‘miena yothe yumaga huho’’!
This morning she’s woken up with black eye but she says she sees sense!
My rule never to assault my wives was broken yesterday but I don’t regret!
P.s I won’t do it again!
