Maraga ateuliwa kama jaji mkuu

Bado nashangaa vile Maraga ameweza kuwapiku kina Makau Mutua, Smokin Wanjala, Ojwang,Visram na wengineo katika mchakato wa kumridhi Willy Mutunga!

a safe pick

On what terms?
Measured against?

achunge nyama…

neither CORD nor Jubilee will complain. huyu ni Mkisii

Atakubali kufanya kazi jumamosi kweli?

Looks like politics has been used as a yardstick here.

Tutatazama kwa karibu tuone vyema.Nakumbuka wakati akihojiwa alikiri kuwa yeye ni mu adventisti na hupumzika siku ya jumamosi.

Politics lazima, hata the head of the C.I.A when being selected lazima politics inaingia ndani. Its inevitable

Which begs the question; Is he the most deserving.

Thank you JSC, this is a good pick, he is not another activist but a seasoned Judge with decades of experience on the bench. Now let him revoke the extra key ahmednasir was given in the corridor of justice.

By OLIVE BURROWS, NAIROBI, Kenya, Aug 31 – Appellate Court Judge David Maraga says if appointed the next Chief Justice, tackling graft within the Judiciary will be among his top priorities.

He says he will expand the office of the Judiciary’s Ombudsman into a secretariat chaired by a senior judge given a magistrate who cannot question his superiors, currently occupies that office.

He says he will also open an email hotline for the aggrieved to use in channelling their complaints on service delivery within the Judiciary.

Maraga who is the third judge to be interviewed for the job of Chief Justice presented himself as an incorruptible, decisive decision maker.

He says the one time a court orderly sought to compromise him while he was stationed in Mombasa, he called for his arrest.

Maraga has identified case backlogs and resource deficits as the other challenges that plague the Judiciary.

He says the automation of court records will go a long way in addressing the case backlog as will hiring more judges and magistrates.

mSDA mwenza congratulations

Hehehe…
Wacha bwana.

Bado bunge litajadili huo uteuzi kabla haujaidhinishwa na Rais.

:D:D:D:D:D
yaani the first thing that came to you mind when you read the story was that he is a seventh day adventist

Hiyo kiti mwanamke atakalia lini?

The guy was very clear during his interview that he could not compromise his religion with the task at hand.

SDA damu hatufanyi kazi jumamosi kama mutunga, kamwana self suicidal no bribes

No, its done, its going straight to President Uhuru to swear him into office (formality). Separation of power, parliament can’t pick the head of the other arm of government same way courts can’t pick the speaker of national assembly.
